Fika Cottage
Adderstone Mains, Northumberland

Fika
[Fee-Kah] Noun
A lovely Swedish word. In English, fika means "to have coffee" or “a coffee break”, but it's about so much more than that.
It means to slow down, take a break with friends, family or on your own and have a coffee or tea with something sweet on the side.
Our Story
We are a couple with a globe-trotting background, having connections to many countries including Argentina, America, Dubai, England, Germany, Sweden, and Wales. Our connection to Sweden in particular led us to choose the name 'Fika' for our holiday-let business. However, we feel most at home in the beautiful region of Northumberland, where we hope to settle down permanently.
We are excited about our dream of settling down here and creating a unique vacation experience for our guests and the local community. The first step to achieving this dream is Fika Cottage, which was inspired over several years and fun evenings at our local pub. We're thrilled to see our idea come to life!
We love spending time with our loved ones, including our furry friends, and exploring the stunning countryside that surrounds us. We enjoy long walks across the moors and beaches that are abundant in Northumberland. Fika Cottage is the perfect cosy haven where we can relax after our adventures. The three bedrooms and bathroom are designed to provide maximum privacy, while the kitchen and dining area are perfect for entertaining guests.
The garden is fully enclosed, making it ideal for children and pets to run around and play while we enjoy outdoor dining and BBQs during the long summer evenings. The lack of light pollution in the area provides an excellent opportunity for stargazing.
We sincerely hope that you will enjoy your stay at Fika Cottage as much as we do, and we look forward to welcoming you many times.
