Fika Cottage
Adderstone Mains, Northumberland
Dogs are welcomed at Fika cottage at a small additional charge. This is to cover the additional cleaning needed for lost fur and muddy paws.

We have our own fur babies (dogs!) that stay at the property too. To make sure that everyone can enjoy their stay in Northumberland, Verdi and Flo have agreed to the following house rules.

Rules for paw-rents
Hello,
We are Verdi and Flo – this is us on Bamburgh Beach with our Paw-rents.
We wanted to share with your paw-rents the house rules we follow when we stay here. The rules here are different from our usual rules at home. However, Mum and Dad say we need to follow them because not all guests have pets.

So we agreed to these house rules on behalf of all dogs staying at Fika Cottage.

We love coming to stay here and hope pawed guests enjoy it as much as we do!

Love, Verdi & Flo
Keep Humans off the Floors
Floors are strictly for us dogs to lie on. If they must sit, make sure they use the chairs provided. So that they have no excuse for sitting on the floor, we do not get up on the furniture.
Give Humans a Place to Sleep
We believe the best place is in their own beds. So we stay downstairs and out of their bedrooms and bathrooms. We have the hallway, lounge, kitchen and the paw-some back garden after all!
Paw-rents Must Pick Up After You
Dad calls it the "world's worst easter egg hunt", but Mum says that he must do it and be especially thorough before we leave. Mum never seems to do it herself though…
Wipe Your Paws
We love nothing more than a long walk in the hills or a run on the beach, and we also really like our cleaners. So we make sure we have clean paws and fur before we come inside from adventures.
Keep an Eye on Your Humans
It's our holiday too! So we make sure that Mum and Dad never leave us in the cottage on our own. After all, what is a walk on the beach or a pub dinner without us?!
